2024 - Outdoor Season

European Athletics Championships, Rome 2024
Congratulations to our club athlete Joe Doody, who was selected as part of the Mens 4 x 400m relay team. This is an amazing accolade for our athlete and we are very proud of all his achievements in the last few years. Joe (Pictured 3rd from right) is an amazing role model for our younger athletes who look up to him and our very youngest like to run his PB time, calling it their 'Joe Doody' when they are training.

Juvenile & Senior Championships, Tullamore, June & July 2024

Report to Date
The National Childrens' games took place at the end of June with a blistering hot day and well done to all our athletes who took part. Special mention to the boys U12 relay team taking home a bronze medal.
Day 1 of the U13-U19 National juveniles saw 5 athletes competing across Shot, Discus, Long Jump, and Hurdles. A very well done to our Athletes Darragh, Eva, Holly, Cillian, Hayley and Tadhg who competed very well and congratulations to Holly and Ty who won gold in Discus and Long Jump respectively.

Senior National Championships
These took place on 29th and 30th of June and our athlete Joe Doody ran a strong heat time to qualify into the 400m final finishing 4th in the final with a very good run.
The U18 Boys relay team entered the senior relay and completed the day with a respectable 4th place finish.

Morton Games
The Morton Games are a big event on the senior calendar and being invited to participate is a great accolade. This attracts competitiors from around the world and Joe Doody and Sam Vines were invited to compete in the 400m and shot putt events respectively. Sam was unavailable for the event and Joe ran another very solid 400m race finishing off what has been a breakthrough year for him.

National Combined Events
The National Combined Events took place on 13th and 14th of July at Morton Stadium and we had 2 athletes entered to compete in the U18 Women Heptathlon and U20 Women Heptathlon. Very well done to our Athlete Sarah Doherty who achieved 4 Personal Best's and a 5th place overall in the U18 competition and Congratulations to athlete Ella Carey who won a silver medal in the U20 competition, securing top points in the High Jump, Shot and Javelin.

 Indoor Season 2024
The club enjoyed a very successful Indoor Season winning a variety of Dublin and National Medals.
A total of 29 Dublin Medals and 5 National medals were won by the club.
