Cabinteely Athletic Club is nearly as old as Kilbogget Park. The original 400m track was laid out in the 1970's.
It was originally founded by sport loving Pat Finnerty, Belinda Teehan, John O'Driscoll, Declan Egan and Kevin Barry. It was re-established in March 2010 following a lapse in the membership in the mid 1980's.
Today there are over 200 athletes and 30 volunteers within our Club who support out club and wider community activities.

Together, we are not just building athletes, we are nurturing character, developing resilience and teamwork. In our club every athlete learns the value of determination, respect and supporting one another.

Beyond the track we are helping to shape young athletes who understand the importance of giveback to the community as they help support events like the Goal Mile, Darkness into Light Walk and the India festival on behalf of our club.
